Interpersonal Relationships

Being in relation with the Other is crucial for our wellbeing as human beings. From the time we draw our first breath to our last, who we are in relation to other human beings is something fundamentally important.

Our mode of interaction with other people in our lives, those belonging in our immediate family, our friends, our colleagues, our intimate relationships, is very important for our sense of self and our emotional wellbeing.

Counselling and psychotherapy may help people explore the way they form and maintain their relationships, their way of interaction and communication, their way of showing affection and their way of managing conflict. In effect, through counselling and psychotherapy people may assume responsibility for their part on each of their relationships and search for ways to improve them.
